Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Mateable.com ("Mateable," "we," "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Mateable. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement and agree not to misrepresent your age.

2. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. One person, one account -- creating multiple accounts or impersonating someone else is not allowed.

3. Acceptable Use

When using Mateable, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other members, in messages, on comment walls, or elsewhere;
• Post photos or content that are sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise violate applicable law;
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the site or access other members' data;
• Attempt to circumvent a block another member has placed on you;
• Solicit money, promote a business, or spam other members.

Violating these rules may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent disabling of your account, at our discretion.

4. Reporting & Blocking

If another member violates these Terms, you can report their profile, a specific message, or a comment for review, and you can block anyone at any time -- blocking immediately stops all messaging, commenting, and visibility between you and that person.

5. Content You Post

You retain ownership of the photos, bio text, and messages you post, but you grant Mateable a license to display that content on the site as part of the normal operation of the service (e.g., showing your profile to other members, displaying comments on your wall). You're responsible for making sure you have the right to post whatever you upload.

6. Subscriptions, Coins & Billing

Some features (such as Flower Coins, advertising, and paid subscriptions where available) can be purchased using MateableCoin (MTBC), and some may also support payment by card through Stripe once that option is enabled. Which payment methods are actually available may change over time; the site always tells you which ones apply when you make a purchase. Subscriptions billed on a recurring basis can be managed or canceled at any time from your account settings. Amounts already charged are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

7. No Warranty

Mateable is provided "as is." We don't guarantee you'll find a match, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular member's profile information is accurate -- verifying who you're actually talking to and staying safe when meeting someone in person is your responsibility.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mateable is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including interactions with other members.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a safety risk to other members.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Mateable after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable local law.
