Why I Stopped Swiping and Started Writing
I'll be honest -- I got tired of being a stack of five photos and a one-line bio. Swipe left, swipe right, repeat until your thumb goes numb and everyone starts to blur together. That's not a knock on swiping itself, it's just not the whole story of a person, and I don't think it was ever supposed to be.
What I like about having a space like this is that it's not just a profile, it's a little bit of a homepage. Somewhere to write down an actual thought instead of squeezing my whole personality into a bio field with a character limit.
So here's a real one: I think the best conversations rarely start with "hey" or a comment on a photo. They start when someone reads something you wrote and says "wait, tell me more about that." That's the whole point of putting a little more of yourself out here instead of just a highlight reel.
If you're reading this because you clicked through from my profile -- thanks for actually reading. Comment on a photo, leave something on my wall, or just say hi. I'd rather have one good conversation than fifty matches that go nowhere.
More posts coming. Might write about the weirdest first-date story I've got. We'll see if I'm brave enough.
